ARMOR TECH

The Armor Tech™ construction combines a high-density nylon layer that runs from bead to bead with an additional textile layer and aramid fiber particles dispersed in the tread compound, resulting in a rubber with a level of protection never achieved before. Pirelli Cinturato Velo TLR is ideal for tackling any road condition.

TLR HEEL PROFILE

A specific bead profile design made to maximize compatibility and grip on tubeless-ready rims, as well as a specific material and construction that allow easy mounting with inner tubes, without compromising grip and safety when used in a tubeless configuration with sealing liquid.

TREAD AND COMPOUND

Thanks to the innovative SmartNET™ Silica compound and ICS and FGD technologies, Pirelli Cinturato Velo TLR guarantees a cycling experience never experienced before. The nano particles with an elongated conformation generate a stable network within the compound, thus increasing the natural chemical affinity of the silica with water. In this way the typical compromise of traditional compounds is overcome, while maintaining excellent performance in terms of rolling resistance, durability and puncture resistance.

CONSTRUCTION

Installed on a 60 tpi casing, the tread is developed with Pirelli Functional Groove Design and Ideal Contour Shaping technologies: the fabric casing is designed to guarantee an optimal footprint on the ground, while the different curvature radius between tread and sidewalls a controlled deformation of the tire at different speeds and lean angles.
